In Transition: Bridging the Employability Gap for International Learners

The Humber IGS, in partnership with the Jamaican Canadian Association and Newcomer Women's Services, is thrilled to announce that we've been awarded $360,000 as part of the College and Community Social Innovation Fund through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Our project, In Transition: Bridging the employability gap for international learners through integrated solutions will bring much needed solutions to support international graduates as they transition out of school. Led by principle investigators Dr. Parveen Gill and Cheryl Francis-Nurse, MBA, PMP, CTDP working with Norin Taj, PhD, Leighton Henry MBA, BSc. PMPG, PJCSC, Feona Thornhill-Anderson BSc., PgDip., CAPM ®, Diane Simpson PhD and Rina Di Mito (She/Her) and supported by @DavidBetty, President of JCA and Sara Asalya, Executive Director at NEW. The research will bring stakeholders together to come up with innovative solutions to meet the needs of international learners, industry and community as we move forward.
