Without any previous experience about software development but in summer break, he found an internship with ADP for software development where he learned about real time business software development and gain excellent knowledge about building and working with industry software. By good performance at the internship, ADP offered him full time position after completing his school degree. Currently, he is working as a Full stack software developer daily contributing creating software, maintaining software works and helping his team with new technology which he learned at Humber College. Being a site engineer at first, then moving on to become a project scheduler, and finally landing in his current role as an HR account manager, has made his career path a bit unconventional.

He chose to pursue a career in management after realising early in his career that he was good at handling responsibility and organising things. He was initially interested in project management, but towards the end, he was certain that managing human resources was exactly what he wanted to do.
Hence, upon beginning his internship, he felt completely at home. Finding your passion will drive everything into place, so the best advice he can provide is to figure out where you want to be.

Akshjot Kaur is an experienced market research and consumer insights professional. She holds a Marketing Management Graduate Certification from Humber IGS, as well as an MBA in Marketing from Christ College in Bangalore, India. Akshjot was selected as a co-op student for CARP (Canadian Association of Retired Persons), a non-profit which is involved in advocacy for Senior Canadians.

This opportunity came through the job fair conducted at Humber IGS and upon the successful completion of her co-op she was offered full-time employment at CARP. The Humber IGS career team helped Akshjot with preparing for job applications and resume reviews, which were crucial in launching her professional career in Canada. In her current role as a Marketing and Research Consultant at CARP, Akshjot is responsible for managing research and insights projects. Prior to this, Akshjot worked as a Research Manager at Kantar where she collaborated with clients across various industries to provide actionable solutions through research insights.

Jerin works as a business analyst at CI Financial, managing and enhancing the client experience of their online portals. He pursued Business Insights and Analytics from Humber College, Toronto. In 2017, he graduated from Christ University, India with a bachelor's degree in computer applications.

With around 3.5 years of experience as a business analyst at Shell, managing IT products for refineries, Jerin developed an interest in business analytics, but he wanted to work within the financial services industry. He found Humber's business analytics program really helpful, which taught him various industry standard tools and theoretical subjects. Jerin interned with Harry Rosen as an e-commerce analytics intern, which helped him gain valuable experience and work with industry professionals and tools. During his internship and job search, the professors and staff at Humber College were exceptionally supportive and valuable to him. Finding a new job wasn't easy, but he landed his current job through LinkedIn after applying via all major job portals. The experience of relocating to a different country for education and job opportunities was both thrilling and demanding for him.

Quincy Norman Vaz graduated from medical school in Mumbai, India, in 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. She was struck by how essential research and development is to enhancing health outcomes and as a physician, she felt helpless due to the dwindling resources and lack of treatment options in the face of crisis.

This epiphany led her to the Research Analyst Post Graduate Certificate Program at the Humber IGS in January of 2022, a three-semester program with a required work placement. Quincy describes the program to be “research-intensive, with an exceptionally structured academic curriculum” combined with hands-on experience through a required work placement. During her time at the IGS, she leveraged the plethora of resources available to support students in launching their careers in Canada, including participation in resume clinics, career development workshops, industry career mentorship program, and the Industry and Community Engagement Course. Quincy completed a 5-month work placement at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) as a part of her Research Analyst Program at the end of which she was offered a full- time role as a Research Analyst at CAMH.

Bhumika Bhatt

Program: User Experience Design

Bhumika's design journey is a bit like life – unexpected and wonderfully messy. She started her journey in textiles, understanding basics of design into fabrics, later she launched ‘Bha-sha’ her ongoing retail brand.

Alongside she worked as a designer in an embroidery export house where she managed approximately 200+ projects. During tenure she managed a project for her interior Atelier client that lead them to win the award for Excellence at 'Decorex'.
Today, she's been navigated into digital design, carrying the same hands-on warmth that's been her signature. Her approach in user experience design is a harmonious blend of personal touch and creating with a focus on users, navigating through research, interviews, and usability testing.
Through varied design fields, her path has zigzagged, she stumbled, learned, and adapted. She is not here to dazzle with big words; She is here to create something honest and human.

Mischelle is working part time at SAV Associates as an Admin & Acctg Coordinator (Staff Accountant) since July 2023.

She got the position through one of her applications in which the company owner happens to own an accounting firm also. Learning from her background through her resume, they thought she would better fit in their accounting firm. It was good timing as she is about to enter her co-op term this fall. This role has been approved by the program coordinator to be her field placement as well.

Shaili Jani is an experienced research analyst with a background in psychology and the life sciences who is proficient in SPSS, Python, Excel, SQL and qualitative data analysis.

She is competent in multidisciplinary approaches and ethical research practices. She is a successful academic writer and cooperative team player. She is currently pursuing Research Analyst studies at Humber College. She is an M.Sc. in Life Science, a published author of "Herbal Therapeutics," and a recipient of several prizes, including the India Book of Records record and the first prize for acoustic guitar at Trinity London College.

Ophelia, a former police officer, took a leap of faith into the business world and became the director of a diet food business. This experience inspired her to develop professional skills to be able to excel in today's competitive business world.

To achieve her goals, she enrolled in the Business Insights and Analytics program at Humber International Graduate School. Ophelia is passionate about technology and data analysis and is highly proficient in advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, and research studies.

Ophelia is a goal-getter, self-motivated, and active individual with effective communication and collaboration skills. As a campus ambassador for Humber College, she has sharpened her leadership and public speaking skills by providing academic and career guidance to juniors and delivering the land acknowledgment for the IGS event. Ophelia believes in persistent and consistent hard work, continuous learning, strategic networking, and always challenging herself to step outside her comfort zone. With determination and the support of those around her at IGS, Ophelia aspires to be a barrier breaker who can make a positive impact on people's lives, especially fellow female immigrants. She recently completed a co-op with Trios College where she held the role Data Analyst Intern. Prior to this she earned an undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and then worked for four years in the tech industry for renowned companies such as Capgemini and Ensono Technologies. During her tenure there, she honed her technical skills and developed a deep understanding of the industry. She is currently looking for a full-time role in the field of Data Analytics, where she can leverage her technical expertise and passion for data to drive insights and create value for organizations.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Finance and Taxation from a renowned university back in India and began her career at Goldman Sachs, a leading Wall Street investment bank.

Recognizing the importance of continuous learning, Prilina pursued further studies in Canada and is currently in the final semester of the Global Business Management Program with a Financial Planning specialization at the Humber International Graduate School. While at Humber, Prilina has excelled as both a Student Ambassador and Peer Tutor, playing a key role in enhancing the student experience by facilitating student engagement programs and providing academic support. Prilina has recently secured an Accounting and Tax Analyst co-op role with Metro Tax Solutions, where she hopes to deepen her understanding of the Canadian financial sector and adapt to the Canadian work culture. Her ultimate goal is to return to her passion for Capital Markets or Trading Services, driven by her love for finance and client service.
