Video and Photo Contest

Winners can win up to $250 (video contest) and $100 (photo contest) in gift cards.

International Education Week is a worldwide celebration of international education and exchange. This year, Humber College is celebrating International Education Week virtually from November 23 – 27, 2020.

Immerse yourself in IEW by participating in our Video and Photo Contest. The purpose of the contest is for you to capture the spirit of your culture through your camera lens. The video/photo you submit will be shared on the Humber Global website and may be showcased during the Video & Photo Showcase and Award Ceremony.

The contest is open to participation by students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Humber College. Current students are eligible for a prize. Other participants are eligible for their video/photo to be showcased during our Video & Photo Showcase and Award Ceremony on November 27, 2020.

Your video should illustrate one of the following topics:

Performance of Art (Video only):

A performance of instrumental music/dancing/singing/ visual art. Your video should also include a very brief verbal explanation of the cultural importance of the subject/performance. Use your creativity to share your culture how you see fit. We are open to a variety of different forms of art.

Deadline to submit the video is 8:30 am (EST) on November 9, 2020.

Art of Everyday (Video or photo):

This category is general in nature and can include: An illustration of life in your country, city, or home. A general video that displays a festival, cuisine, event, or activity that represents your culture. Feel free to exceed the limitations of the topics mentioned above. Use your creativity to share your culture how you see fit.

Deadline to submit the photo is 8:30 am (EST) on November 9, 2020.
