Mathematical or scientific questions require students to perform calculations in order to solve an answer.

  1. Write out any formula or formulas you will require to answer the question.

  2. Work through the problems step by step and show each step. This will help you cut down on errors in reasoning. Also, you will demonstrate your understanding of how to solve the problem which is usually worth some marks even if your answer is incorrect.

  3. Make sure that you have used all the available information in computing your solution.
