Humber International Calendar of Events - January
I am Nishant Pandya, a new addition to Humber International's Marketing and Communications team as an Intern, and also a former International Student Ambassador at the Lakeshore campus. I am a business school student and I have had an amazing time in Canada so far, and I give a lot of credit to the Humber International Centre for making my experience valuable.
The last trip I went to was to the CN tower, a landmark of Canada and I found it to be really fun. We many events planned for international students in January! We run these events because we want to help Humber's international students make new friends, get comfortable in Toronto, take a break from school, and explore Canada!
The first event of the year was the International Students' Orientation. POver 400 international students attended at both campuses! We have a number of events planned to help students get acquainted with the life in Canada.
Royal Ontario Muesum: January 16, 2016:
The ROM is one of the largest museums in North America, the largest in Canada, and attracts over one million visitors every year.
Cost: $10/student (This trip includes your ticket into the ROM as well as their Wildlife Photographer of the year exhibit)
Time: Students are asked to meet in front of the ROM for 11:00am. If you are looking at traveling as a group we will have staff leaving the Lakeshore Campus Residence (via transit) @ 9:30am and from the North Campus Residence @ 9:30am.

Ski/Snowboard Trip:January 22, 2016
This is a great trip for any student whether you are a pro skier or snowboarder or someone who hasn’t even seen snow yet. This trip offers all your equipment as well as the lesson to get you going. Not to mention another 150+ students just like you!!
Cost: $50/student (This trip includes the bus to and from the hill, equipment rentals, lift ticket and a lesson) – ONLY LIMITED SPOTS LEFT
Time: Buses will be leaving from Lakeshore @ 2:00pm and from the North Campus @ 2:30pm
Registration: In person at the International Centre (Lakeshore H100, North LRC 2nd floor)

Marlies (Hockey) Game – Exhibition Place
The Business School has some extra Marlies tickets, which they’ve offered to us. We only have 12 tickets, and they’re only available in person at the Lakeshore International Centre.
Cost: $10/student – 12 Tickets available
Time: 3:00 pm
