I have always been a creative type, and Humber's Bachelor of Interior Design balances both creativity and technically – that's how I knew this program was the right fit for me.   

My professors taught me how to channel my ideas and transform a project from conceptual to a functional design. Besides learning all the essential technical skills, the assignments and tasks involved logical thinking, creative problem-solving, and documenting large-scale projects from the concept to construction documentation. Humber also connects the students with the industry through job fairs and bring professionals to evaluate our work and progress during the semester, making it easier to showcase our work, to network and even secure an internship by the end of the program. All this learning and interaction with the industry created an excellent basis and made me ready to start my career. Now I am working as a junior designer in a Toronto based architectural firm. My next goal is becoming a fully certified interior designer and work on different commercial projects, like community and art centers, for instance.
