Name: Sukhrab Ayupov

Nationality: Kazakhstan – Almaty 

One of the reasons I applied at Humber College is because the institution is part of the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. During this time, I’ve been working toward becoming a CFA Charter holder. In my final year, I received the CFA Scholarship; upon graduation, I passed the CFA Level 1 exam, and I am currently working towards CFA Level 2.  

While studying at Humber, I had great professors who helped me to develop problem-solving skills, taught me how to evaluate strengths and limitations, and how to work on complex projects and assignments in a team-based environment. One of the best moments as a student, was when my friend and I became co-presidents of Humber Finance Association. This opportunity helped us to meet and interact with other students and provided us with a chance to connect with the industry professionals from companies such as TMX Group, UBS, Deloitte and Ellis Don.  

Upon graduation, I joined the TMX Group as an Administrator of Client Support Services. In September, I will be joining the Associate Rotational Program at TMX Group, which will be a great learning experience because it will strengthen my understanding of the Canadian Capital Market.
