Canada has a lot of opportunities for international students and the program lessons are very detailed; we learn everything from the basic skills, like how to use each knife properly and to build a dish correctly, to the emerging trends in Canada. The program also helps you develop your own cooking style and put your skills in practice by serving a four-course meal to a guest at the Humber Room. We also participate in many events hosted by Humber, these events give us the opportunity to connect with the culinary industry, including the country’s best chefs. Students are often competing in on-campus, national and international competitions as well, which gives us the chance to showcase our skills and techniques.
